TMB on Next G (TM)

The Telstra Mobile Broadband service allows customers to use a Telstra approved Telstra Turbo Card in connection with the Telstra Mobile Broadband service to access data over Telstra's Next G(TM), 3G and GPRS networks.


Customers have the choice of a casual contract, 24 month contract or PAYG rates.

Features and Benefits

  • Fastest wireless broadband network in Australia offering typical downlink speeds of 550kbps - 3.0 Mbps downlink bursting to 6.0Mbps in selected and typical uplink speeds of 300kbps - 1Mbps, bursting up to 1.3Mbps. Speeds may vary due to congestion. distance from cell, local conditions, hardware, software and other factors
  • Wireless broadband coverage to 99% of the Australian population.
  • Versatile device range which includes PC cards, USB modems, handsets and PDAs
  • Supports international roaming in over 50 countries
  • Telstra Mobile Broadband on Next G™ can work with the customer's preferred VPN software to access files on a shared server or network

Telstra Mobile Broadband Devices

Customers have the choice of either a:

  • Turbo 3 Series device (until sold out): 3.6Mbps/ 384kbps (HSDPA)
  • Telstra Turbo 7 Series device : 7.2 Mbps/ 1.9Mbps capable (HSUPA)
  • Telstra Turbo 7+ Series device: 7.2 Mbps/ 1.9Mbps capable (HSUPA) with peak uplink speed upgradeable in future
  • Where a customer purchases a TMB Data Pack on a 24 month contract with a minimum monthly charge of $39 or higher together with a Telstra Turbo 7 Series or 7+ Series device for $149 or higher upfront
  • Telstra makes a Taxable Supply to the customer in relation to the sale of the HSUPA device
  • The $149 or higher HSUPA device charge will be applied to the customer's first bill (The customer does not pay you the $149 or higher charge under any circumstances)
  • You must not issue a Tax Invoice or Adjustment Note in respect of the supply of the HSUPA device to the customer

Business Rules

Telstra Mobile Broadband on Next G™ is available to new and existing customers.


To be eligible to connect to Telstra Mobile Broadband on Next G™, the customer must:

  • Present a valid and current ABN, ACN, or ARBN. This must be verified to confirm eligibility and then be recorded on the application form; or
  • No grouping of Telstra Mobile Broadband Next G™ Data Plans will be allowed

Application & Activation Process

MNC Users: complete connection via MNC as per standard workflow for TMB connection.

 

Non-MNC users to complete paper application form and to contact NAC on 125113 to complete connection.

 

For customers that are connecting 4 or more services on the same account at the same time, you must complete all requirements and deliverables under the Multiple Purchase Approval Process.

 

It is a mandatory requirement for all to provide the TMB on Next G™ Terms and Conditions Flyer to customers that connect a voice plan onto a Telstra Mobile Broadband on Next G™ 24 month contract via MNC.
